Maurice Tillotson: Singing CV.

As a boy soprano Maurice began singing whilst at Primary School.   He partook in many productions at School, Sunday School and Church in both singing and acting roles.

Under professional tutorage he competed in singing competitions in the ‘West Yorkshire’ district of England and also performed in Operettas such as ‘The Marriage of Figaro’.

Maurice’s singing and acting interests were side-lined during his mid-teens when he embarked on a career in Professional Football.  See:   Maurice Tillotson: Profile. | Cerebral Soccer

His participation in music returned when, as a mature student at Auckland University, he joined the University Choir.  He also spent periods in both the South Auckland and Franklin Choirs.

Maurice continued his pursuit of classical singing under the guidance of Auckland singing teachers Cyril Kellaway and Geraldine Rose; however, the appeal of 50s, 60’s, 70’s and more modern music form the bulk of his current program.

Maurice regularly appears with the NZ Young at Heart Chorus.
